Abruzzo is synonymous with uncontaminated nature, with green meadows inhabited by flocks, and therefore, with wool.
Wool is the main element in Vuscichè productions. Strictly local and raw wool, in whose colours you can find those of the landscapes of the Region and, often, find traces of the life of the sheep that produced them.
Vuscichè knitwear uses the yarns of the Fratelli Bianco wool mill in Lanciano (Chieti), one of the last reference points for spinning in central-southern Italy. A wool mill capable of working even small lots, thanks to reduced machinery, for a more humane approach to spinning. The raw material is carded and spun and subjected to natural treatments such as adding olive oil mixed with water before carding. An ancient technique whose traces date back to the times of the Odyssey, for restoring the right softness to the fleece. Today we are looking for technological fibres, but we must not forget that the best technology comes from nature. Nothing is more comfortable, warm, breathable and reassuring than a wool fibre garment.
